Clark State President Blondin to be Featured Panelist for EERC Webinar to Discuss Importance of Credentials

Dr. Jo Alice Blondin, president of Clark State College, will be a featured panelist on Credentials: Why they matter and How They Promote Quality and Equity for Community College Students. The webinar is presented by the Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations Education and Employment Research Center (EERC).

“I am honored to be a part of this distinguished panel on the future of work and the changing landscape of credentials,” said Blondin. “I worked with national thought leaders last spring on a publication on credentials, and this is a continuation of that important conversation.”

As the US economy recovers from the pandemic, employers struggle to identify workers with the skills they need, while millions of job seekers look for credentials to qualify them for employment. How can community colleges establish standards to ensure that credentials hold value for students, employers and society?

Panelists Blondin, Dr. Brian Bridges, and Dr. James Jacobs join authors Dr. Paul L. Gaston and Dr. Michelle Van Noy for a spirited, dynamic discussion of their new book, Credentials: Understand the Problems. Identify the Opportunities. Create the Solutions, moderated by Dr. Lawrence Nespoli.

Register today for the free, hour-long webinar beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16 via this link: https://rutgers.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJYqce-gqjkvH90v0zqv_uUUfoo4ENcXHL09
