There were 392 Black students enrolled in Xenia Community City schools in the 2022-23 school year, the same number as the previous school year, according to the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce.

Data showed that Xenia Community City welcomed 3,778 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Black students made up 10.4% of the student body, making them the third most represented ethnicity in the district.

Xenia Community City roughly covers eight schools within Greene County and has its main office in Xenia.

Among the eight schools in Xenia Community City, Warner Middle School recorded the highest enrollment of Black students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 97 students.

In 2022, Ohio saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is better than the national average of 1:16. This marks an improvement for the state, especially compared to 2016, when the ratio reached its decade-high at 16.1 students per teacher.

Despite the apparent improvement, this positive trend is overshadowed by a general decline in public school enrollments, which was accelerated by the pandemic. This decline, aligned with the steady number of teachers in the state over the last 10 years, has led to low student-to-teacher ratios.
