Wright State University recently issued the following announcement.

Campus Recreation: Mohican Kayak and Camp

Date and time:

Saturday, April 9, 9 am to Sunday, April 10, 2022, Noon

Enjoy the beautiful Mohican State Park and the Mohican River. Have a nice relaxing weekend with some friends as we set paddle down the Mohican River. After a day full of boats and friends come settle down at the Mohican State Park for a nice warm meal, fun games, a bonfire, and camping.

Cost: 

$100

Cost Includes: 

ncludes ORC trip leaders, all camping equipment, all kayaking equipment, meals on location, all permits, camping fees, and transportation from WSU in 12-passenger van.

Activity Level: 

Beginner- Advanced, does not need prior paddling experience

Registration: 

Up to 8 participants. Registration required by Monday, April 4th. Click here to register

All persons travelling on an Outdoor Recreation trip must provide either

1) Proof of Covid-19 vaccination or booster within the last six months

or

2) Negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours of trip departure

Itinerary:

Day 1: Meet at WSU at 9 am and depart for state park, check in, and set up camp. Once everyone is ready head out to a launch center and kayak down the river. Get shuttled back to the van and head back to camp. Eat dinner, hang out, sleep in tents.

Day 2: Get up and make breakfast. Clean up after ourselves. Check out and drive back to campus.
