The Public Safety Committee is a Standing Committee of City Council as established by the Rules of Council approved on March 11, 2021. This Committee will review matters related to the Police Division, Communications (9-1-1), and Fire Division regarding emergency preparedness, apparatus, etc. The Council members appointed by Council President Wesley Smith to serve on this Committee are as follows: Councilman Thomas Scrivens (Chair), Council Vice President William Urschel, and Councilwoman Rebekah Dean. These meetings are open to the public.
