Green Local Schools - Green, Ohio issued the following announcement on Nov. 25.
Thank you to all the volunteers and contributors that allow the district to provide for families.
Special shout out to Jennifer Doerrer, the district’s Blessings in a Backpack coordinator and Family Support Specialists Cherie McCortney and Jennufer Robinson.
As the surging COVID-19 pandemic worsens, the lives of 55 Green families were brightened Tuesday by scores of neighbors.
The coordinated efforts of Green Local Schools, Green Blessings in a Backpack, community businesses,
local organizations and a host of volunteers have provided these families with all the trimmings for Thanksgiving dinner in their own homes.
