Green Local Schools - Green, Ohio issued the following announcement on Nov. 20.
For ten years now, students from GHS Room 112 have created holiday trees for the Akron Children's Hospital Annual Tree festival.
This year, due to Covid, only one 3 ft tree was permitted. Students voted for HO HO OHIO for the theme of their tree!
Students, with guidance and support from Intervention Specialist Cindy Young and paraprofessionals Peggy Nichols and Flo Dujanovic,
prewired their handcrafted buckeye and mason jar ornaments.
This year's online Tree Festival will run for two days, November 20-21, presented by the Volunteers of Akron Children's Hospital. In addition to our GHS tree,
there will be wreaths, holiday gifts, and special auction items available.
